1. Introduction
Welcome to FeedTracker ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the FeedTracker iOS application.
By using FeedTracker, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Information We Collect
Account information (via Sign in with Apple)
FeedTracker uses Sign in with Apple as the sole authentication method. When you create an account, Apple provides us with:
- A unique, stable identifier assigned by Apple to your account (we never see your Apple ID directly)
- Optionally, your name and email address — only if you choose to share them during sign-in
We do not collect passwords. Your Apple ID credentials are never sent to FeedTracker servers.
Data you enter into the app
FeedTracker stores the data you create to operate the app:
- Snake profiles — name, species, and feeding interval
- Feeding logs — date, result (ate or refused), and optional notes
- Growth records — weight and length measurements with units
- Shedding events — date, outcome (complete or incomplete), and optional notes
- Medication records — name, dosage, start and end dates, and optional notes
This data is stored on our servers and linked to your account so you can access it across sessions.
Device token for push notifications (Pro subscribers)
If you enable feeding reminders (a Pro feature), we store your device's APNs (Apple Push Notification service) token. This token is used exclusively to send feeding reminder notifications to your device. It is not used for marketing purposes.
Subscription information
FeedTracker uses RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions (Free and Pro plans). RevenueCat processes your purchase through the App Store. We receive your subscription status and entitlement level from RevenueCat — we do not receive or store your payment card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and maintain your account
- To store and display your snake and health tracking data
- To send feeding reminder push notifications (Pro subscribers only, when enabled)
- To determine and enforce your subscription tier (Free or Pro)
- To respond to account deletion requests
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following third parties, strictly to operate the service:
Apple
Apple handles authentication via Sign in with Apple and processes all in-app purchases. Apple's use of data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat
RevenueCat manages subscription state and sends us entitlement updates via webhook. RevenueCat's use of data is governed by the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Hosting infrastructure
Our backend API runs on a server and database. No data is shared with third-party analytics or advertising platforms.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account (via Settings → Delete Account in the app), all of your data — including snake profiles, logs, and device tokens — is permanently deleted from our servers.
6. Your Rights
You may at any time:
- Access your data by using the app
- Correct your profile name via Settings → Profile
- Delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Delete Account
- Disable push notifications via Settings → Notifications in the app or your iOS device settings
7. Children's Privacy
FeedTracker is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure token storage. However, no system is perfectly secure. If you have concerns about your account, you can delete it at any time from within the app.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of FeedTracker after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
